Residual stress control of hot-rolled strips during run-out table cooling

نویسندگان

چکیده

The strips with good flatness after finish rolling will have defects such as edge wave run-out table cooling. These are caused by the residual stress due to inhomogeneous thermal and microstructural behaviors during cooling stage. traditional control methods rely too much on experience, resulting in poor effect universality. Therefore, this study proposed two based model calculation: water flow central crown center compensation control. former is mainly controlling uniformity of strip transverse temperature microstructure. latter controlled mutual internal stresses. In paper, mathematical models critical were established, respectively. Meanwhile, a post-buckling hot-rolled was established calculate aim value at exit finishing mill under stress. Furthermore, fully coupled finite element temperature, phase transitions, developed it verified using experimental data. Finally, above realized model. results showed that can reduce improve flatness, application more effective.

Multivariable fuzzy supervisory control for the laminar cooling process of hot rolled slab

A multivariable fuzzy system has been presented for higher level supervision of industrial process. With the help of a statistical process controller (SPC), this fuzzy supervisory control system can replace the human operator in the laminar cooling process. Since a feedforward compensator is designed to suppress the external disturbance, the proposed system can automatically find the proper ope...

Distributed model predictive control for plant-wide hot-rolled strip laminar cooling process

Since hot-rolled strip laminar cooling (HSLC) process is a large-scale, nonlinear system, a distributed model predictive control (DMPC) framework is proposed for computational reason and enhancing the precision and flexibility of control system. The overall system is divided into several interconnected subsystems and each subsystem is controlled by local model predictive control (MPC). These lo...

Microstructural evolution during recrystallization in hot rolled Aluminum Alloy 1050

The evolution of texture as a function of recrystallization has been characterized for hot-rolled AA1050. Samples prepared from a hot rolled sheet were annealed isothermally for sufficient time to allow complete recrystallization. The spatial orientation variation within the deformed microstructure of nucleation, growth and orientations of recrystallized grains is examined. The microstructural ...

Influence of Residual Stress on Fatigue Life of Hot Forged and Shot Blasted Steel Components

Hot forging is a common manufacturing process for the production of large quantities of engineering components. Residual stresses are developed in forged components as a result of various aspects of the manufacturing process, including subsequent cooling, and heat treatment. Residual stresses can significantly affect the deformation and fatigue failure of materials. Hot forged EN15R steel bars ...

Statistical discriminator of surface defects on hot rolled steel

A statistical approach to defect detection and discrimination has been applied to the case of hot rolled steel. The probability distribution of pixel intensities has been estimated from a small set of images without defects, and this distribution is used to select pixels with unlikely values as candidates for defects. Discrimination of true defects from random noise pixels is achieved by a dyna...
